Boobs As The Backdrop Of Our Silhouette

I’ve been out of the loop and super inactive lately.

My husband and I got married twice.  Once on July 30th in New York City a few years ago, and then again on August 8th in Santa Fe on the ramp of the back of a U-Haul that we transformed into a giant television that was interactive and played bizarre 70’s content including but not limited to old commercials, scenes from Foxes, roller disco, and cheesy 70’s porn.  In many of our wedding photos there are huge images of boobs, and in one case a man standing there with his penis exposed.  The officiant was of the Church Of Mothra, wore an L.E.D. robe, and the entire ceremony was lit by guys kneeling alongside the ramp holding cell phone flashlights.

My dress was a vintage 70’s dress bought from a shop in L.A., and arrived THE MORNING OF the wedding.  I’m damn lucky that it fit like a glove.  I drank glitter vodka from the bottle with my friend Amy while hiding alongside the truck.  I spilled that shit on my dress damn it.  The beer came later.

This was all part of a traveling pop up art exhibition that showed up in several cities with many different box trucks lining the streets with their own interactive experience.  This just happened to be ours.  Pee Wee Herman even blogged about it:

We had traveling artists from all over camping in our backyard for a week.  I don’t even know how many.  At least 40?  They had tents, teepees, participated in a big backyard barbecue and party to celebrate the event.  There were people tattooing each other, others lounging on astroturf drinking very strong Bloody Mary’s, great conversations, and a whole lot of friendships made that proved to be beneficial in the future.

And recently, we were asked to create a new truck to be in shows in both Philly and NYC!

Here are some photos from our box truck wedding:

    1. One was in NYC, and NO ONE was there. The one in Santa Fe, was not by invite, and it was supposed to be held like a rave … pop up art event. So, no invites,
no public posts, etc. We did not even know what the date was going to be until the last minute. (Though I did tell you it was happening.) . Actually, the boys were not even there, which they were supposed to be, but that is a whole different story.
